    Default Explain This

OK, when I reached my goal of 140 I shopped and shopped. Now almost 5 years later I weigh 137 and some of the pants I bought which were totally comfortable at 140 are TIGHT. How can that be possible? I exercise a lot. Maybe gravity is making any extra skin slide down? Makes no sense.

Not around my waist I hope!! Pants aren't tight on my legs, just my middle.

    Mysterious...
Could be skin travelling south, could be a slightly inflated tummy?
Or is it every day for the last days?
Our bodies do change when we reach a certain age (as Annie so eloquently puts it )
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Ok so here's my thinking, when I got down to 125 I bought a pair of size 2 shorts. They still fit 20lbs heavier. Some of those shirts are too tight. Idk.
Anyway, my thoughts are that after we loose and (in my case gain-needed to) and then loose and maintain our bodies even out. Or at least mine did, my pics at 123 were boney, at 145 I still didn't look "right" my boobs were still deflated...my butt? What butt? Arms were flabby. But after a year and a half of staying around 140-150lbs my body evened out....I never had much junk in my trunk to begin with, 255lbs with a flat arse. So that's probably why the size 2 fits. But I'm happy to say my arms look less flabby and my boobs have filled back (never huge but no longer deflated) so maybe your body is "evening" out?
    Either way, your doing awesome!
    sleeved 12/30/14 @255lbs Goal 140lbs
    3/3/15- 208lbs 6/14/15- 163lbs
    lost 92lbs in 1st 6mo
    9/10/15- 139 1/5/2016 - 128lbs
    lost 128lbs in 1 year
    4/4/16 - 123lbs 7/4/16 - 129lbs 12/3/16- 130
    still 128lb loss@2 year mark-11lbs below goal
gained 13lbs by 3 year mark weighing 142lbs
Gained up to 158 by 3 years 3 months!
    3.5 years back to 142
    hoping to stay between 140lbs-145lbs
4 years hanging in between 145 and 150
5 year mark! ugh! Up to 160! Time to get back track!

    LOL at Dutchie

My manager who runs the bariatric program here says "it's the shifting sand syndrome" and it makes sense. As we age our bodies change and I find the same thing happening. You're still a huge success, sraebaer!

I wish, but this is stuff I've been wearing for at least 4 years. Too bad I can't shrink in the wash!

OMG I laughed my ass off Simonne. I used to have excessively huge boobs and now they are sad little sacks on my chest. So I totally am hoping for some boob return too.

Are they always tight? Maybe you are a little constipated and it is making you bloated? I know if I have to go it can make me have a little more in the middle.

Did you by any change take measurements throughout the process?
I don't do that anymore actually, but I think I will now.
Maybe I will see some changes.

I took a long hard look at my boobs this morning, with expert help of hubby, and the girls seem to be a bit more "filled".
They were really very sad, droopy little things.
    So, maybe something IS changing.

Hi. This is for sraebaer. This doesn't have anything to do with your post. I happened to see a comment you made in a later post about being on Weight Watchers. I was/am a lifetime member but have not attended in many years. I was just wondering if they now have a Bariatric program geared toward bariatric patients. I am still on my weight loss journey, 20 lbs to goal. Planning ahead just in case I might need it. Thanks for your reply. Barb

Yep, always tight. I'm working on losing more weight, now at 135.
