Default 1 month Post Op Dr visit

I had my one month post-op visit today, I’ve spent all day in the doctors office.

First at 0740 hrs I had 2 skin cancers removed at the dermatologist. Really didn’t hurt like I thought it may.

Then at 1400 hrs I had my meeting at the Weight Loss Center, it went as expected. I’d lost a couple more lbs and now I’m down 34 lbs since my surgery date, and I think 40 lbs exactly since starting the pre-op diet 03-15-19.

The dieticians seemed pleased and said as far as they were concerned I was good to go no restrictions on physics activities and no restrictions on food, as long as I stayed within the parameters. They said to introduce new fruits, and I could even have a salad. But proteins first then a few veggies. Continue with the water.

Went from there to the doctors office and was told “No Restrictions”, I can go to the gym, start lifting and continue on doing what I been doing.

Cleared to go back to work, called Captain and work next 4 days .. 10 hrs a day. But it’s a new assignment so it should go by fast.

Got to find something to eat, just was informed we going to a baseball game...

Hope everyone has a great day just wanted to drop a quick “YEAH FOR ME “.....

You are doing so well! Remember this is a life-long marathon, not a weekend sprint; it is measured in years, not months. You’ll do very well I think with this marathon!

Sounds like everything is going well Russ!! So happy to hear that. The important thing when going back to work is having food on you at all times. Make sure you have some things on you always as an emergency so you can make good choices. It really stinks when you get hungry and can't find something decent. Things that are great are nuts, low carb/high protein bars, beef jerky, the waterless pouches of tuna, string cheese, protein shakes, bottled water....etc. I always had stuff on me. And if you have a job that requires you to be out and about have a cooler. Remember you are in charge of your new life. Kudos!

    Well done!
And what Christie said: always make sure you have something to eat and drink with you at all times.
