    Default I got the date!

Things have been progressing. I met with the doctor and I am a candidate for the gastric sleeve. He can still do the surgery and will not use glues which I am very allergic to. I met with a dietitian who was awesome. met with the cardiologist and I am cleared for surgery. Tomorrow I meet with the psychiatrist for one of three meetings. I was given the date of July 9th for my surgery. I am excited and a little bit nervous. I am so concerned about failing again at losing weight. It's all I've ever done. We talked about my hypothyroidism and he felt that I may lose the weight a little slower. I just can't fail.

I've been using the bariatric app but now I see other apps out there for this and I was wondering what everybody uses?? Do you use an app to document your food and your exercise?

Also what about your opinions on dr. V on Facebook. I find his information in his studies really great. What are your thoughts? By the way he is a bariatric surgeon. Thank you thank you thank you.

I forgot to mention on another site I saw a lot of people talk about the book called The Hungry head. I just ordered it from Amazon and I'll get it tomorrow I can't wait to start reading it. Did anybody read it? Thoughts?

Congratulation Ready! I can see the excitement and I'm so happy you've got things moving in the right direction. Be sure to share you concerns with the psychiatrist. I think it's human nature to be afraid of failure, but I wholeheartedly think if you work the tool of a VGS the right way you will be successful. There are hundreds of people here to can attest to that. Reading over the forum has been super helpful to me.

    Good luck!

Congrats on getting a surgery date. I would not worry about your hypothryroidism causing you to fail. People on here who have it (and a bunch of other conditions) have still been able to be successful with the sleeve. Nothing wrong if you lose a bit slower...the slower you lose the better it is for your skin to bounce back a bit versus being super saggy.

Hmmm, good thought about slow loosing gives skin a chance to bounce back. Keep positive, right?

    Congrats on your surgery date!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.
