    Default 4 Months Out

Hey everyone! Had my surgery on December 6th and it's been great. No issues at all, to speak of. I've lost 41lbs so far, but have stalled for the last month or so. Anyone out there have similar problems? How did you kick-start losing again?

I had a couple week stall and then all of a sudden, it would start back. It was usually 1 pound every day or every other day. As long as you are sticking to the general weight loss surgery rule (protein first), it will pick back up.

Just keep doing what you've been doing, stalls happen. Sounds like you're doing great!

Thanks. I do admit, I have been short on daily protein targets.

Hi. Congrats on your success so far.

Stalls happen at different times for different reasons. Sometimes your body just has to catch up with itself.
Making sure that you hit your daily protein and water targets would be the first thing to concentrate on and then if you are not exercising then maybe some walking might be the order of the day.
Just stick to your programme and everything will be ok :-)

Follow the rules. Get plenty of fluids and proteins. As I started to get farther out when I began to stall it was time for me to up my intake...in a healthy way. But I was an exerciser so my needs were a big different. Also, relax. Take a deep breath. Stress is so destructive on our bodies. Even when you r weight is not moving, your body is still changing. Onward and upward.

    lol
    I just googled his name.
And yes, that is his name...
English is not my first language, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Stay hydrated, take your inches as they change once the scale stalls; you're going to notice all kind of changes. Men lose more quickly and if you take advantage of the first 9-12 months, you're going to make changes to both your eating and lifestyle routine to be successful. You're doing great and stalls are perfectly normal!

How's the health, energy levels, etc.? These are all the positive changes that also take place after surgery not just the scale is our barometer of success, take pride in the new "non-scale victories" that happen. Motivation is so important for the "long-haul" and maintenance. Continued success!!

Thanks for the advice. I have to admit, I have a WLS Journal and I took my body measurements and photo at my firt appointment, I will take them again on surgery day and every 2 weeks for the first 6 months and then once a month after that. I really want to be able to SEE the results. We can be so hard on ourselves. My dietician told me a patient said she was complaining about how she felt disappointed that she hadn't lost more weight and her mother texted her a side by side picture taken 3 months before and she couldn't believe it herself looking at it.
