    Default Fat percentages

So I'm on the food plan prior to surgery. I'm looking at my pie chart of fat 55% protein 26% and carbohydrates 22% for today. I've always counted calories now I am looking at percentages. Don't you think my fat is awful High? What should your fat percentage be? Where should i improve?

Those are macro-nutrient percentages or "macros." This way of eating is designed for maximum fat loss and muscle building. It requires some calculating. Did you get any other information on this from your surgeon?

I'm maintaining, and my percentages are now 30% protein, 40%fat, 30% carb (all healthy not white flour stuff)
When I was losing the protein was higher, the fat higher, the carbs way less.

    I use MFP.
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

I do not eat that much fat. I focus on protein and veggies first. I never really counted much except protein and fluids. I still don't. I just make sure I focus on healthy eating most of the time. I am 2 1/2 years post op and it works well for me.

Thank you. I think its the bariatric app im using. I am starting to eat like you..3 weeks now. Im really trying to change my thinking from a diet to a new way of living. Ive lost 3lbs so far. Today i add the treadmill to my dog walking for exercise. Hopefully i can burn more fat. Thanks for your replies.
