I have to have protein often, or my blood sugar will drop as low as 55, which is heading into danger.

I do try for 5, and I work them out with my calories, myfood thoughts and my schedule. Usually.

For me, chewing too fast is still an issue; and also relying so much on the protein shake But I'm not giving up the protein shake, so trying to work out the rest of the day. Glad this helped some of us!

I have set my timer yesterday during dinner...
If that is not "going back to the basics", I don't know what is!LOL
Taking a tiny bite (my bites were way too big), put my fork down, chew 30 times, swallow, wait 30 seconds, pick up my fork and repeat.
    That was an eye opener...
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

I am thinking of cutting my snacks too.
I still call it my "six small meals", but to be honest, they are just snacks.
I also was told that eating six small meals is better for the sugar level throughout the day.
It is certainly better for my portion control.
With only three meals I don't eat enough and eating more during one meal is physically not possible.
My restriction is still there and I don't want to jeopardize that.
    Sure will do!
I will write a post in a few days with more details when/if things are moving..I'm going for higher density and calories (more good fat, my skin is too dry) to stay in the right calorie range..but my quantity per meal stay the same. I can't have more than 1/3 of a plate when it's dense...for ex my husband finished my plate for lunch as usual but on it was : 120g of grilled salmon, some lettuce with sesame oil dressing, 2 olives, 1/3 of a steamed potato with little cream. I left like 2 bites of each item, only finished the olives...
