    Default New member seeking advice

Hello, I'm seeking advice. My surgery date was August 6, 2018. Starting Weight 230 and current weight 180. I've been struck between 180-184 since November 2018 and weight is still not coming off. Very frustrated. My goal weight is to maintain between 135-140. I'm taking those gross vitamins, calcium, vitamin D and Dymatize protein powder daily. I don't eat fried foods and always make sure I eat green veg. and 2 -3 oz of meat. Always conscious of what I eat. Any help or suggestions of what I can do to start my weight loss journey toward my future goal weight? Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? Thanks.

First of all, celebrate that 50 pound loss! That's great! Have you added exercise to your day? Variety to what you are eating? Sometimes even eating a little more changes up the weight loss.

I'm not much to talk, I'm trying to lose just 10 more pounds and have lost 2.8 in 6 weeks.

Best of luck to your continued success.

Thank you and I'm new to all this and I sincerely thank you for your encouragement. I'll try and add more variety to my diet choices. Maybe one day I'll reach my goal. Thank you again for your encouragement.

Hi Connie. I would try a tracking app and see exactly how much you are eating and play with it a bit to see how it affects you. Sometimes you can be eating too little and that will also stall your weight loss. When I stalled during my weight loss phase it was always when I needed to up my calorie intake. Do it in a healthy way but add more protein and veg.

    Hi Connie

Congrats on your 50 pound loss. That's fabulous!

Good idea from Christie to log your food intake. It may be that you are eating too little (protein) or too much of something (Carbs?). There are some good apps or even just note it down in a diary with what you eat, the amount, and the time.
Do you measure/weigh your food? Maybe do that for a little while to make sure that you really are eating the correct quantities. Sometimes it's hard to judge visually.
Make sure that you are keeping up with your water intake. It's really important.
If you are not already exercising then maybe consider starting with some walking. Walking is actually all I do - apart from a weekly yoga class - I'm not into gyms anymore. However I walk every day for 45-60 mins.

Let us know how you are getting on please.
