I am a bit over 48 hours post op and steel dealing with pain management (as expected). I am getting lots of walking in and if not walking, I'm standing or lying inclined in bed. Sitting upright is uncomfortable at best.
The pain that I have is a deep stabbing pain when I am transitioning up and down. Or basically, any time my abs are clenched. I have a naturally high pain tolerance and the pain is management sitting or lying, but off the charts when I get up and down. I still need assistance getting out of bed.
I'm curious if this is normal, or should I be trying to get some heavier meds.
