    Default Awaiting Insurance Approval

I met with the Surgeon this week. I have went through the process to the end, now awaiting insurance approval.

I've been told I will know by Tuesday, and if I'm approved my pre-op day will be next Thursday 03-14.

I'll have surgery on 03-28-19 if everything stays on schedule.

Its been a long process, (at least for me) but I'm trying to stay positive and focused.

I never dreamed so many people would try to talk me out of surgery, mainly friends and co-workers.

I have been completely open and honest about my intentions and plans to be sleeved.

I think folks are just concerned.

I agree with Laurallynn in what she has said. You have to keep that focus on you and do what feel right for you. I still have no regrets about it. Here's to the insurance approval and everything falling in line for you.

Just got the call !!!...: I'm to go to pre-op on the 21st and my surgery will be on 03-28-19.

Insurance approved everything, and I was told I'd be hearing from a nutritionist to start my diet before Monday 03-18-19.

I'm anxious, excited, and I'd be lying if I didn't include nervous. But reading these forum are a daily inspiration !!

This is a very exciting time for you. :-)
People who have no idea about the surgery or who have never struggled with weight in their lives don't understand how important this is to us and will perhaps naturally worry and be negative. That is why I only told a couple of very close friends that I knew would be supportive. I didn't need any negativity while I was still trying to get my head around it all. Thankfully my partner was/is my best ally and was with me 100%.
I'm not so worried about who knows now (18 months out), however I am the one who chooses who to tell and there are some people that I will never ever tell.

All the best for your surgery day. Keep active on here, it's a great place to be.
