Great to hear!
is your daughter getting any better?
Sraebaer, thanks for asking about her. Unfortunately, she is not doing any better. She left the house for the first time since January 3rd on Monday for her doctor's appointment. I was thrilled to see her weight at 113. She hasn't been eating very well, so lots of relief that she hasn't lost anymore weight despite her refusal to eat. Guess she's getting enough calories from the 6 cans of coke she drinks daily. Grrrr! I cannot get her to drink anything else. She will absolutely refuse and dehydrate herself. Her condition makes her extremely stubborn, and she was already pretty rotten before she got sick.
She has developed two hard lumps on her back. I took her to have them looked at and to be reassured that they're not anything bad. That didn't happen. The doctor is concerned because they are so hard. She will be having an ultrasound on them to get a better idea of what we are dealing with.
I got her in the car last night to go get burgers and onion rings. It was a nice surprise that she willingly went with me. She did refuse to get out of the car when we got there, but I still call it a win.
Best news regarding Meg is that she is going on a trip... a real trip. She and her older and younger sisters are heading to Disney next week. I am blown away that she's going to attempt this. I will also be out of town that week for my birthday, and I'm scared shitless that something will go wrong and I won't be there. Those 3 dont get along all together, and this is the first time ever that they are doing something on their own without me. I hope they have the best time, and that it will give Meg the confidence to try to get out more. I'm a worried mama though.

Ah, I forgot this little funny from Monday. Meg has to have an ID to go on her trip next week. We thought we'd go to the DMV and get her expired driver's license converted to an ID card. Hahahah! Remember, she can't walk without a walker and me holding onto her at the same time, and she can't see very well. So, she goes stumbling in there, and these people renewed her DRIVER'S LICENSE! Thankfully, Meg knows she cannot and will not ever be able to drive again. She took a pretty picture for her new DL though.
