Hooray - UPDATE on Kristi2798

Up early and there was a brief email update from our Kristi2798. She is still in hospital, but knew she was at the right place. She is still having difficulty with her hands, so it may be a while before she updates on the board. (Typing from a hospital bed is trick at best.)A with fluid retention after surgery but she knows her sleeve will kick back in when she's home.

Her father is there with her, and she thanks you all for your thoughts and prayers. I'm glad I didn't call him as Kristi reports he blacked out - I think the stress has been tremendous for them. He's doing fine now that she is.

As to recovery, I think that's truly up in the air. Spinal surgery is a delicate recovery, and since she has not had 100% return for her hands, I do not know if they will attempt rehab, 2nd surgery, etc. She has been dealing with many infections and a flare of lupus as well. So no, I don't think there is a clear picture at this time.

Scary time, indeed, for Kristi and her family. Seems as though prayers are working and sending good wishes and lots of positive thoughts her way. Wishing her a speedy recovery!
