Hello everyone. I'm just starting on this journey. I had my first appointment today with the surgeon. My insurance requires 6 months medically supervised weight loss, a psych consult and a visit with the nutritionist. My BMI is 41, so they told me to be careful and not go below 40 because my insurance won't approve. I'm nervous but excited.

Welcome Prim. I was in the exact same boat as you. Like almost to the t. I had to be extremely careful bc I could not gain weight and I could not get under the 40 BMI. My surgeon's office was very helpful, though.
