    Default Need advice please

    Hi everyone,
I just joined today and am looking for help. I am four weeks to the day post op. I have lost 50 lbs since 12-27 between pre and post op diet. However, all the weight loss was completed by 1-31. I am on soft foods, hitting my protein and fluid, 600- 800 calories a day and even added cardio daily starting last week and still nothing. I get a few days on a plateau but it's been almost two weeks and I'm only a month out. I didn't expect to stall out so quickly. Anyone have any words of wisdom or advice? To say im crushed is an understatement. Thanks so much for reading.

    Hi.
Totally normal. Stalls happen for all kinds of reasons.
Remember your body is going through quite a bit and is probably just trying to catch up with itself.
Just keep to your surgeons programme and everything will be ok.

Many sleevers have stalls from weeks 3.

You are doing great!! no worries!! we don't loose all in the same ways.

Just follow your guideline and do not focuse on the scale.

I was a slow loser and reached my surgeon's prediction at 23 months!! most people reach their goal at one year. bUt my body is fighting hard to keep its bacon or make more!!

Don't stress out, during the first year, unless you drink calories, any balanced diet will get you a study weight loss.

Also, be sure to drink enough water, because without enough fluid, even if your calorie intake is great, and if walk a little, your weight could get stuck. Water is important.

    Good luck and take care!

"Crushed" for losing 50 pounds in a month? Do you realize how crazy that statement sounds? You are doing amazing, well beyond the normal sleeve population! Congrats and turn that negative attitude into a positive one, it will take you far.

    Yes, stalls are normal.

50 lbs is equal to 200 sticks of butter....that's a lot of butter! And the 3 week stall is infamous - you're just a week late having it. Keep on and it will drop again as your body balances itself out! Well done.

Thanks everyone. I just was getting worried I was doing something wrong. Not crazy or negative, just 25 lbs since surgery when you're 500 pounds was not quite what I was hoping for. Glad to hear that stalls happen and what I am going through is normal. Again, thanks everyone. I feel much better now :-)

Or even more fun, go into a sporting goods store and pick up a 50 pound weight (or two 25 pounders)

Everyone feels defeated when they hit the first stall. Totally normal. But in my opinion the worst thing you can do is stress out because stress can be quite devastating on your body. Relax. Follow the rules and trust the process. It works.
