So so glad to be back home after surgery on Friday. Yesterday was awful...fever, chills. Today better just tired. Can't say this was a good decision yet. Feeling like i may have made a mistake. Time will tell.
Everyday it will get better. Take it easy, sleep when you feel like it, walk as much and as often as you can, sip that water all the time, and be kind to yourself. You have just had major surgery and you body will need some time to get over it.
Hope you are feeling better soon.
Best of luck on your recovery! I clearly remember those first two days, asking myself, "What have I done?!" But you've just had major surgery...and that pain and fear WILL eventually go away. It will be replaced by the amazing feeling that you've set forth to make a new life for yourself. Hang in there!
You only made a mistake if you enjoyed being obese and want to stay that way for the rest of your life. You just had major surgery and just traveled home from another country, of course you won't feel fantastic yet. But every day will get better. Sleep as much as you can this first week, it really helps with recovery. Work on meeting your protein and fluid goals.
I would check in with your PCP if you are running a fever. That could be a sign of an infection.
Best of luck to you! Get back to us in a few months when you are dropping pounds like crazy! It is so much fun!
You've been through a lot! No wonder you're exhausted. Travel like that wears me out even when it's not after major surgery.
This is the toughest part. Hang in there.

Having read a lot on this site, what you are feeling is normal. It should pass in time and you will feel like a million bucks! Best wishes!
Listen to your body, if your running a fever over 101 see your pcp. I had same doctor and he messed up my surgery but it didn’t show up until 13mos postop. I since had 5 surgeries and not doing very well. I hope you don’t have any problems. Dr Almanza turns out has a bad track record and doesn’t own up to any of it.
Rest. Sip. Rest. Repeat. You'll be on the mend, and as all have said, watch your fever.
Yep, all of the above.
The first week is the worst, on top of that, you have been traveling, which can be exhausting on its own.
Hang in there, but do watch that fever.
Could be from fatigue and trauma from the surgery, but better safe than sorry.
