    Default Vampire Facelift?

Isn't related to skin removal per se but I have been going back and forth on having a facelift. The cost and recovery time are daunting to say the least so I heard about the vampire facelift - 2 weeks recovery and at a fraction of the cost. Anyone wanna fess up to having had this done and relate your experiences? I've seen 99 percent YAY and of course there's always the small percentage of NAY!

Never even heard of that. I don't feel my face looks to hangy post op....mostly my butt, breasts, and thighs are hangy pitiful looking things. I am still optimistic to have some kind of better look to my skin with strengthening exercises. I think I would possibly do my boobs but all the before and after I have seen on thigh lifts hardly seems worth the price or the pain of recovery. None of them produce enough of a result that I would find it worth it.

I had never heard of a vampire facelift. I just googled it. So it is essentially where they inject you with your own blood then use fillers? It looks like it lasts for 1 to two years. Very interesting. I know I have aged a lot with the weight loss in my face and worry about that. I had mentioned it to a friend of mine who gives botox injections and she figured I would need fillers not botox. I will have to ask her if she does vampire facelifts or knows more about them.

I don't know how painful it would be when they are injecting you with your own blood and fillers but if it is anything like Botox it really isn't bad. I have been getting botox for years for eye spasms and migraines and it is more like a mosquito bite as it is a very fine needle. Some people find it really painful but it doesn't bother me.

OhMGoodness! I googled it and that bloody mess!!! How long those the redness last???

I think I was born with dark circles and a frown! Two products from Ling Skincare out of NYC products have been excellent for me! The Freeze ease and Apple Stem Enzyme! Love both products and dark circles have literally gone, 8+ years of using off and on. As far as my Frown, well at my recent facial the esthetician said there are several products that could help me, but they were all in the same line as botox and I am not sure if that's a route I am willing to take. Yet.

Ann, the Ling Skincare Apple Stem is my go to for daily care, among their multivitamin day cream.

They also have a specific dark eye circles http://lingskincare.com/re-lite-eye-gel.html

Disclosure my daughter does work for them.

Thanks for the eye link - I've always had dark circles under my eyes. Tried to get approved last month for an eye lift but my upper eye lids don't quite meet the criteria for insurance - they aren't droopy enough. Phhhttt oh well

FYI this stuff is absolutely amazing! A client turned me onto this stuff awhile back and it's temporary of course but the second you put it on your can actually feel your whole face tighten up and it lasts for 12 hours at least. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-1-Month-...wAAOSwHsRYDsWL it's pricey but I don't go out every day to where I put this stuff on so one bottle of it lasts me for months. Also here's an under the eye product that is also fantastic. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Vials-Jeun...38.m2548.l4275

I'm 65, and gravity isn't my best bud, lol. But if bags or eye hooding interfere with ADLs, you can get it covered with opthalmologist referral. My friend did hers, but it hurt. I'm chicken.

I've had dermal fillers at the corners of my mouth (I always looked like I was frowning and now I have a resting smiley face) and then some under my eyes. After a few days of looking like I'd been in a fight, I was pretty surprised by what a difference the fillers made. They've lasted more than 2 years, cost under $1,000 and weren't very painful. I look much more awake. That's as much work as I'd have courage to undertake.

I had to google it, it sounds interesting.
What I wonder though, is this a procedure for older women?
As I understood the injections give a boost to the collagen production of your own skin.
Since I also am 60+, I guess my collagen production is almost down to nothing.
And giving a boost to "nothing", is a whole lot of "nothing", I don't see how this would work...
    Just wondering...
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

I don't think I could do anything to my face as I have seen so many people who you can tell do something and look totally unnatural and weird in my opinion. I have a friend who uses botox and she looks fine. I could possibly consider that at some point but I am not there yet.

I have had vampire face lift (PRP)many times and I'm 41 years old. One I can say for sure based on my own experience , other than improving skin's quality don't expect anything else. Ive had many different ones: injected with syringe and one with micro needling. They are expensive and for those who expect to have lifting effect are not worth the pain and money. As I said it helps with skin quality by making skin smoother and supplier but other than that nothing else. People confuse the healing process with result. When skin is injured it's inflamed so its swollen. When the swelling goes down you are back where you were before. And the result is not that long lasting. I can speak for myself only and what I experienced. But it for sure helps with skin's quality that's why I do it once in a while.
