    Default Snowshoeing fun!

OK, If you live in the mountains I am so jealous of you. But maybe I could be your best friend???

I love to hike, and today we snowshoed and had so much fun in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was like hiking but much more beautiful than winter in the midwest. I was on a moose hunt, but never saw one, only tracks. But my son said a moose would kill me so I shouldn't be so anxious to see one. We skied for 4 days which was also amazing. Said son talked me into doing runs I never would have attempted, and I did it! I'm still in one piece. Now you younger people won't understand, but once you get my age you are really happy to not get hurt.

Thats awesome. Happy for you. Rocky mountains are beautiful. What a fun vacation. which is my kind of fun. Can’t wait to get back out there. Wanted to let you know my last surgery on 1-18 went well. My doctor said it was a good thing we went back. My intestine was completly twisted mess and i was full of adhesions. I’m so relieved to have it go well and to have everything fixed. So far no complications. Still dealing with nausea and vomitting but today my nausea seemed a little better. I was able to transition off the TPN and back to tube feedings through my G-Tube while at the hospital. The light as gotten a bit brighter at the end of the tunnel. Take Care

That looks great and so much fun!
Isn't it exhausting, walking with those things?
I am glad you didn't run into any mooses, they are big, it seems.
I would love to see one irl though.
In the wild that is, not in a zoo.
English is not my first language, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Sharon, what a wonderful adventure! I have lots of family out in the Rockies - Montana and Idaho. I sometimes miss the mountains since I don't really consider the ones here in NC as more than fancy hills, lol. You are intrepid! And certainly adventures good health and fun are a part of the VSG experience. So glad you didn't break anything except new ground!

Sharon, you are doin' it SOOOOOOOO right! And I'm also glad you didn't hurt yourself. Big win.

Also, Tamera -- gosh, honey, I'm glad you got all those issues identified and addressed. What a worse problem all that might have been, had your medicos not found that out. I hope you continue to feel better and better faster and faster!

It was really easy, only the second time I've done snowshoeing. It is as simple as walking. We hiked out one hour and then back, and none of were tired or anything. I have no idea of mileage, I'm sure it was way less than a 2 hour walk. The hills were easy because the bottom of the snowshoes are metal spikes, so no slipping.

That looks so much fun. We are in the midst of Summer here and it is hard to imagine being in the snow when we have temps of 28 Celsius....with a "low" of 20C over night - we have had the fan running all night for weeks now. Most of the houses here don't have air conditioning as it doesn't usually get this hot. Makes going to the beach a lot of fun though ;-)
