    Default Liquid Diet help

    Hi guys!!!

I start my pre op liquid diet on the 5th and wanted to know if anyone had suggestions. Like what to buy what not to buy , where to buy it at. I really hate the taste of bananas and dislike the way jello feels in my mouth. So please stay away from those suggestions. Also I’ve been thinking about going to sams club for some stuff . Let me know if you know anywhere cheaper or better ....

    THANK YOU!!!
    Sorry for sounding so rude

Muscle milk protein shakes are my favorite liquid protein source. Most are 20 to 30 grams and low carb and taste good.

Premier protein chocolate and premier protein clear tropical flavor would be my suggestion...should be able to find it at sam’s club or Costco. I lived on both during my liquid diet. You can only find the clear at sam’s not Costco.

I use Jay Robb protein powder. I get it at the Vitamin Shoppe. Great thing about the Vitamin Shoppe is if you purchase a protein powder that you don't like, you are able to return it. Hope you find something that you like. I didn't like Premier or Isopur

GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe are great places to buy just one of whatever looks good to you. When you find something you like, buy in bulk. Now I'm all for the 18 pack of premier protein shakes at Costco. After surgery I didn't like the creamy and bought orange Isopure in bulk at the Vitamin Shoppe. Those flavors are a little odd, but I liked the orange diluted with a lot of ice. Just be sure to try before you buy.

Try before you buy in bulk -- I've "rehomed" numerous protein shakes and powders and water.

I get my Premier Shakes at BJs, which is less than Costco in our area. They don't always have it, so I have a back up at Sam's Club, lol.

I don't think bananas are a liquid, unless you meant banana flavored protein? I like vanilla, caramel and chocolate. Aagh to the peach and strawberry.
    Protein grams are SO important.

I would say buy in bulk only post-op, because your taste might change. I gave away A LOT of protein powder I liked pre-op and couldn't stand post-op...
