    Default 2 weeks post op

This is my first post. 2 weeks in, down 20.4lbs. I feel great but I’m on purées and nothing taste good except cottage cheese, soups and mashed potatoes. I have been having 2-3 protein shakes a day.

How much pain did you have after surgery? Did you have to travel home?

Don’t worry about the pain. I had 2 days of pain. Sent home 27 hours post-op and only took 1 Percocet. I had another 2 days of discomfort. Well worth it since I recently became diabetic and know that Diabetic neuropathy or diabetic infections would be so much worse. I let myself get this fat and can’t wait to be normal again.

I'm glad to here that you are doing well in your post op days. You might experience pain for a few days around the area's of incision and you will most probably be given some pain killers for the pain to subside.

I'm more than good. I can't wait to work out because I already have so much energy but my doctor and my wife won't let me yet.

Congrats on your 20 week 20lb loss! That's great.

Tastes can change a little bit but it will all come right. Remember it is only 2 weeks since you had fairly major surgery.
Don't be in too much of a hurry to introduce new foods. Just stick to your surgeon plan. Soon enough you will be cleared for all foods and you can start reintroducing foods back into your menu.

Great job so far. It will get better with tastes. Mine were all screwy right after surgery too.
