    Hi, currently a new member having just undergone my gastric sleeve surgery on 27/12/18
    Wind pain can someone please help me how to clear this ..the pain & burning in my back & shoulders is unbearable 😫😫😫😫😫😫😫tia x

    Not much you can do about it.
    It will get better every day.
    Just take your pain meds and ride it out... sorry.

    This is why I insisted that my surgeon should remove most of the gas, before closing me up.
    He did.
    English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

    I know it hurts right now, but it will pass. Keep yourself hydrated and drink plenty of protein..

    Move around/walk as much as you can to get it out as fast as possible.

    Walk walk walk!!! Even if it is just to your front door and back to a chair! I took GasX too.




    HW: 315 lbs (2008) Maintained at 296 until 2015.
    SW: 255 lbs (10/11/18)
    1 mth post op: 229 -26lbs
    8 weeks post op 213 -42lbs
    3 months post op 197 -58lbs (at home)
    3 month post op appt 196 -59 lbs (1/28/19)
    6 months post op 171 -84 lbs (4/11/19) (at home)
    9 months post op 150 -105 lbs (7/11/19) (at home) *GOAL*
    1 year post op - maintained at 150

    The more you walk around the better it will get. Hang in there. Also be sure it isn't acid reflux which can present the same. But keep walking and sipping. I was on an antacid (Prilosec) which I needed for the first 3 months post op.
