Default Everything delayed due to the holidays!

So, I've been approved, but the scheduler is out till the 2nd & it's a short week next week. I honestly feel like it will never happen.

I bought tickets to go see Michelle Obama for my daughter & best friend & it's on February 8th. It would just be my luck I will have to miss it.

I was told that the Dr has to sign off on it and that the surgeries are scheduling out 4 weeks. I cant wait to take this journey.

    Happy New Year!

I'm waiting too, you are way ahead of me though.

I've submitted all my paperwork and medical records, went to the educational check but waiting.

The earliest appointment I could get for my "Physc" evaluation was 01-14-19. I'm not sure how long that report will take to be submitted (if I pass it).

I can honestly say the evaluation is a huge concern, I've had to go to evaluations before due to traumatic experiences at work.

I was shocked when I called and the lady said I was to bring my support person. Then she explained there were statistics that show high divorce rates (especially in men having these type surgeries).

I'm anxious just like you sound. I've changed my diet and I've actually lost close to 22 lbs. since I started this journey.

But I so want to move on with this !! My wife keeps telling me I've started, I've changed my diet so my journey has actually started.

I hope I can have my procedure the 2nd week of February, but I have no clue.

Truss, I've done everything and yet here I still wait. Once I finished all my requirements it took them 3 weeks to send it in for approval. Since the beginning of starting this process it has been almost 7 months. If I have my surgery by Feb. I will almost be 8 months in. It's the end of the (before surgey) journey, but feels like forever.

I did my phsyc evaluation over the phone and it was very easy. It was not covered by surgery, but was only $150 and I got in right away. It was just easier to go this route.

I'm your age as well, I'm 53. Best wishes on your upcoming surgery! Hopefully time will pass quickly!

It took me about 7 months from first visit to surgery. Waiting is the hardest part. BUT...once you get going you will forger all about the long wait and it will be sooooooo worth it!!

I sure hope you are right! I've received my approval letter already, just seems they are very slow. I've been done with everything for 6 weeks and 2 days. I'm just frustrated. I was told it would take 2 weeks and they would schedule me. Thanks for the encouragement, I do appreciate it!

It's all going to be good! The waiting and the few days before, I was very impatient but that's to be expected. Deep breath....you got this!

I got an email from the coordinator today and she said she got my approval and put on the desk of the Dr. The problem is he's out fill the 9th. Then he has to sign off and they have to get a surgery date and it can take 7-10 business days. From what I'm understanding, it can still be at least 6 weeks. I'm honestly losing my drive to wanna do this. I want to get it over. I plan to have my some come from out of state to be here. Ughh

I understand I have been calling and talking to the coordinator and it’s like one step at a time. Everything I’ve done I wait 2-3 weeks before next step. I go on the 14th to get my mental evaluation. I called and asked could I schedule to see whoever is next and I was told “Oh I will be 2-3 weeks before we get that report.” Then we will schedule you. I said so “14th counseling session, then 2-3 week wait. Then another 2 weeks to get in to see whoever’s next .” I’m fully understanding the mood you describing.
