Are you tracking what you eat? I swear by My Fitness pal which you can get for your smartphone.I'm not sure what plan your doctor has put you on but tracking will put you on the right path.

What ever the plan is, just stick to it. But make sure to drink a lot to be able to drain the toxins (if you don't drink water you can't eliminate), also sleep enough, and walk as much as possible.
I have a hard time lo lose, but it does come out at some point. The key is to stay focused and be consistent.

My surgeon's patients lost, for most of them, all their weight (or the "prediction/goal" that the surgeon gave us") at 9 months. Took me 2 years but I did reach it!

That said, I will have to go back to a "stricter diet" very soon since I gained a lot with meds those past months.
I will use Sparkpeople and start tracking again, drink lots of water, herbal teas and green tea and even if it's only half a pound per week, losing is not gaining!!!
    Good luck and take care!

The pre op is hard for some people to lose weight. Are you following the plan to the letter? Are you making sure your portion sizes are correct? Are you exercising at all? Hang in there. Do you have to lose weight pre op to qualify? My insurance stipulated that I could not gain weight and could not lose weight to get under a 40 BMI. I did not necessarily have to lose. I did lose on the pre op diet but most of it when I did the 3 days of liquid diet.

I never understand why insurance companies make you lose weight before surgery. If you were good at dieting, you wouldn't be in the situation you are in. (We all were in!) I was self pay, the only advantage to that was I didn't have to lose before surgery. And after surgery losing weight was EASY.

If you are eating how they told you, tell them that. Best of luck to you!

I had to do strict keto for a month in order to lose anything because I was restricted physically. I dropped 20 lbs in, I think it was 2 weeks. I know it wasn't any more than a month. My doctor wanted me to get off the keto diet though because my cholesterol got really high. I ended up just doing low carb to maintain what I had lost. If you are physically able, Zumba is an excellent way to burn some calories.

Maybe the stress of losing weight is ironically resulting you gaining weight. Stress is one of the biggest causes of unprecedented weight gain. Check with your doctor/nutritionist to gauge better what is working against you.
