    Default 1 year

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year already

I have lost 60 pounds for along time I thought that was horrible that I didn’t loose 100 pounds since I was at a higher weight but in time I realized it’s amazing. I am feeling better then I have in years and my energy has gone up I am no longer needing to nap just to get through the day. I have bought so many new clothes I can now where an xl in normal sizes before I was wearing 3x.

On a medical note I no longer take any pills for my diabetes, I do still take 30 units of long release insulin which is amazing as I use to take 5 needles a day. I have also had to drop my antidepressant down cause I didn’t have the fat to store the medication anymore.

For anyone that gets discouraged with slow weight loss don’t, I have stayed the same for 5 months but I am still loosing inches. My dr thinks my insulin might be stalling my weight loss some but I am still going to plug away at it and work for another 20 pounds down.

I still have a lot to learn and I need to listen to my body more, I am guilty of eating around my sleeve but realizing what I need to change is the first step in the right direction.

    Congratulations! What a great achievement.
You are so right about the different rates that we all lose. Some are fast, some are slow but that doesn't matter at all. The fact that we do it and are better for it is the main thing.

    Congrats!!! You are doing great!!

Took me 2 years to reach my surgeon's target/projection of 110 pounds. But I did, at exactly 23 months out.
What does matter is getting there, no matter how long it takes. And actually loosing slowly is better for your body!
    Great job!!
