Half the woman twice the life

As of this morning I am officially half the woman I was before being sleeved.
Yes, I have lost more weight than I actually weigh now! It's a Christmas miracle ;-)

I am soooo loving my new life. I was running around over the weekend with our grandkids - literally running, playing tag...and they are quite fast for little people :-)

I love the clothes that I can now buy.

I love the fact that there was a photo of me taken over the weekend and I did a double take before I realised that it was actually me!

I am so very thankful that I was in a position to be able to have this surgery. It has revolutionized my life and I wake up every day excited.

I am also very thankful for this forum. So many wonderful people happy to support and advise and talk tough if required.

It is Summer here now and instead of hiding away I will be out there getting amongst it all and having fun.

We gain so much in losing the weight. The quality of life is improved 200%!!

It took me two years to lose 50 kgs, and yet I could tell after one year, everything was so much better!
Right now I'm not in a very good place but I know it's temporary, and I can't wait to start losing again!

Haha! Don't think I will ever get into shorts but it's nice to be able to wear smaller cooler clothes for sure.

DutchSleeve, yes I am still losing. Little bits here and there. I'm not trying to anymore as such, just keeping doing what I have been doing, but will take whatever comes my way in the form of a loss. I certainly allow myself a little treat here and there if I fancy it, but usually I just don't want them anymore, and if I do a taste is all I need to satisfy me.

Sandra3, I'm sure that everything will fall into place for you and you will be losing again in no time.

That's one heck of an accomplishment -- reaching half of your prior body weight. Jeez!
