How much more do you want to loose?

I'm 5'10. A healthy BMI for me puts me under 173.

Both my surgeon and my regular doc want me to get anywhere between 200-220.
My goal is still 179. So still 60 pounds.
I'll be happy in Onederland. But honestly, I want to wear my Marine Corps uniforms again. My khakis will fit in 20-30 pounds. The dress uniforms will need 40-50 pounds.

I'm keeping that 179 goal for now. Long term - i want to stay under 200. I don't ever expect to see 173 though.

    Edit to add...

In my entire adult life, I spent exactly 1 day at a healthy BMI. I'm pretty sure the date was Oct 21st, 1988. That's the day I graduated boot camp and I weighed 172. Never saw that number before and never since. I was always very happy/healthy around 185, but still would like to take a dip to 179 'just because'.

Oh, Glenn! I'm so proud of you. You are a true champ in the VSG world.

You can achieve any damn thing you want to achieve, no matter how "out there" you think your goals might be. Your body just might surprise you. Mine certainly did. My goal was 150. I lost another 15 pounds, and SHOCKER! my body actually likes that weight. That's where I've hovered these last nearly 4 years. I NEVER would have predicted that, even when I was a year post-op. (It took me 18 months to lose all the 100 pounds.)

Remember, you're in charge now. So very, very proud of you.

    definitely will.

    Full disclosure...

I don't recall exactly what happened to my dress blues. Only thing I know is - I don't have them.

I do have my dress greens though.

Picture the attached, but with a lot fewer stripes.
I'm hoping March 2019. But I'm not committing to that just yet.

You didn't say it, but I think the real difference is self-confidence.

I mentioned elsewhere the story of my red pants. I bought some red jeans for Christmas. I got them off Amazon, and I didn't know what size to order. I figured I am close to a 36, but probably realistically more a 38. (i'm wearing 36 shorts, dress pants and blue jeans, but honestly they're probably all stretchy in the waist).

I figured - order the 36x30s. Good goal to shoot for for Christmas.

Got them 2 days ago - and they fit perfectly.

And I'm wearing them at work today. I have enough confidence now to pull off red pants (at a really decent size).

Guys being guys - of course some folks ribbed me for them. But one of the ribbings - a coworker said - "i see what you're doing - wearing skinny jeans!"

Yeah, I will take that compliment any day of the week.

Only thing is, I probably need to hurry up and order a size 34 for Christmas!
