Default How much $ do you think you’ve saved on groceries since getting sleeved?

I may have to finance my surgery, so I’m crunching numbers and figuring out how much I can “save” each month on groceries etc after getting my surgery to put towards payments. TIA!

Hard to say because I still shop for my family. I do spend more on high quality meats but I am not eating all the crap.

I think I’ll save like $100/month on pop alone.

Easy: you make a list of all your weekly spending, including lunches in restaurants, runs to the coffee shops etc.
Then you bring only packed lunches to work, will share a plate in restaurants, the total can be significant.

Regarding my grocery bill, it's hard to say. We always had a balanced diet, I wasn't eating that much junk, but eating too much carbs and cheese, for sure.
I eat more veggies now since I can (my IBS was much worth before the sleeve and vegges were hard to eat).
I would say may be 10% per months in saving? I did cut the cheese...but eat more veggies and that can be expensive sometimes, since I'm back in France now, cheese is not that expensive anymore.

    I don't think I save money now.
I don't eat meat and I get a lot of my protein from cheese.
I eat more veggies and less (hardly any) slider foods.
The quality of my foods have improved a lot, with the corresponding grocery bills.
Also my vitamins (over the counter variety) don't come cheap.
I don't have gym memberships, but those can add up also rather quickly.
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

I don't think we're saving money on groceries because we buy quality food now. Things like fresh tuna, scallops, or salmon aren't cheap. Eating at McDonalds would be cheaper. But my health is worth it!

I definitely save money on groceries. And when I go out to eat, one entree is enough for at least 3 meals. But I couldn't give you an exact number.

Eating out is a whole lot cheaper as I can only have a small plate and I don't drink alcohol.
Weekly grocery shopping is definitely less. Not only are my meals tiny but my partner has realised that he doesn't need such big meals now either. A meal that used to do the 2 of us now will do us for 2 meals. It's great. I still make the same amount but freeze the extra servings for a later date. Its nice to have home cooked ready meals in the freezer for those days when I'm short of time.
