I've had a couple of people ask about my daughter Meg's story. If you're interested, you can find most of it on her page Team Meg on Facebook. I havent updated it in quite a while, and I don't believe I ever discussed her having had WLS on there, and it being the cause of all her illness. B1 deficiency from vomiting relentlessly after gastric sleeve surgery nearly took my daughter's life.

It's really hard for me to go back and look at it, so I don't visit the page often.

I don't share this trying to scare anyone out of having this surgery. I share with hope that no one else will go through this. Sadly, too many are. Please be extra aware and make sure that any concerns you may have are taken seriously by doctors. Unfortunately, they didn't take Meg's illness seriously until it was too late.
