    Default Favourite new hobby/exercise?

Looking for ideas and inspiration so that I focus more on the exciting stuff rather than the nerves of getting surgery!

I guess I can call it a new hobby, but I love to cook and bake and look for and try out new recipes now.
I was never very much into cooking, but now I love it.
And not really new, but kind of renewed: I love to hike and explore nature.
I have not done that in years, because of my high weight and the COPD that came with it.

    Good luck!
English is not my first language, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

My positive stuff- in no particular order:
    Feeling happy
    Being healthy
    Feeling confident
Being able to keep up with my 7 year old grandson
Walking for miles and miles and not feeling tired/sore/out of breath
Shopping for clothes - such fun having a much wider selection to choose from and being able to buy smaller and smaller clothes as time goes on (tip: buy cheap and only small amounts as you are losing. You will be surprised how quickly you "outgrow" clothing)
Eating good nutritious delicious food and knowing that I am fuelling my body with what it needs
Taking control of my life for the first time ever

You are going to just LOVE your new life :-)

I found kickboxing and have found that I love it!
Some good things that I have found - I can walk the flight of stairs to my apartment without getting winded, I can paint my toenails again, I can play with my niece and nephew, I can shop in the "regular-size person stores", I don't have to worry about where I park and if I can easily get in/out of my car, my grocery cost is nothing compared to what it it used to be, and many more.
Focus on the positives of what's to come!

I love strength training. It gives me a rocking body and makes me feel like a badass. I especially love when people notice how toned my biceps are!

Taking walks at lunch during work days has been really nice. I only have 15 minutes or so, but even that gets my body feeling so much more relaxed. There's a nice walking path by my office, so I've enjoyed exploring that.

I also love spin! I've started going once a week. It's a really high intensity work out for me, but I like how the class I goes to is typically in the dark with just some floor lights. I don't feel as if anyone is looking at me and the music keeps me motivated.

My positive is the ability to hike with my dogs up to the Hollywood sign. When I was able to get to the top, nothing better for me. Now the dogs are a bit older and so are my knees, we take shorter hikes, but without the weight loss, it would not have been possible at all.
