I did have top health insurance though which paid around $15,000 for me as I think the price is around $20,000 without insurance so much like kiwi girl.

I was self pay. $10,000 in Louisiana. My insurance did cover my pre-op testing as I just went to an urgent care facility for that. I didn't even attempt to get insurance to cover my surgery. I have no patience for jumping through hoops. My whole process was less than two weeks.

3. If you paid for the surgery yourself, how much did you pay? $14,000 five years ago. It's probably gone up since then. The price included everything pre and post up, all labs, etc, up to 3 months after surgery. Then I just switched to my PCP who is very educated on the sleeve.

1. Did your insurance cover your surgery? My insurance covered 50% after deductible was met.
2. If so, what was your out-of-pocket expense? I had to pay $6500 for my surgery (not to include the $ to get to deductible so that was office visits, psych eval, endoscopy etc) and also 10% of my overnight in hospital which was $1500.

4. In what state/country did you receive your surgery? I got my surgery in San Antonio TX and absolutely adored my surgeon and his office.
