    I'm glad someone is awake...
    I have not noticed that.
But it seems it is still used.
I recently watched a video from a bariatric surgeon, where he mentioned this way of weight control.

Almost 9 AM Paris time I've been up since 5 AM...even during my week off my internal clock doesn't turn off unfortunately...

You posted a really interesting link, I never heard about that device before, but the risk of infections seems really high, like with every ports..I wonder if it's used in France, I must say I usually read more articles in American medical journals since research is more advanced (more money=more research)....but French doctors must have a say on it...

This does not seem like an option for those who wish a moderate, measured life...and sustaining good health. Thanks for sharing.

I had never heard of this before. Then I had to do some google research. It is still being used. It sounds extremely gross and why anyone would choose this option is beyond me. Anyone with psychological issues that can pass the psych exam (and many can) are at risk of losing too much weight. Just think you could keep over emptying it and becoming like an anorexic. Also, the though of the port just grosses me out. That is just me.

People are desperate and willing to try anything, I guess.
But what really blows my mind, that there are doctors out there who actually perform this procedure.
I mean, come on, how ethical is this?
    Everything for the money...
They should be banned... just my opinion.

That makes me feel queasy. I actually have heard about some bulimics in the hospital using similar devices. Very scary.

Thank you for sharing this link with us. I heard that it is better to do a proper surgery instead of using this device.

My friend bought this kind of device, and I can tell you that he created more problems for himself. He didn't consult with anyone, even his doctor, about this purchase. This device is dangerous, and it is better to approach a professional plastic surgery service like gartnerplasticsurgery.com. I wonder why people prefer to use devices like this instead of approaching a professional surgeon and resolving the issue for a long time. Why do people not care about their bodies and health so much? This is a rhetorical question, of course, but you can try to answer and share your opinions.
