Default All most 4 weeks in

Feeling a little frustrated because I know I’m losing weight but for some reason I don’t see it other people do but I think they just saying it I just feel a little insecure about it because I’m able to eat now to where at first I wasn’t don’t know what to do. Did anyone else feel this way during there first few weeks. Having problem with eating different foods

Hi Chelle3~~Welcome! Do you have a nutritionist? If not, can you ask your surgeon about what foods to eat?

Yes,I do it just hard because I’m not a veggie person . First of all thank you for the response and when you had your surgery did you lose mute than 25lbs your first month because I see I have loss weight in my face and a little in my med section but not a lot. I’m scared to buy a scale because I’m afraid I might not be losing like I should I work out 3-4 time a week just 30 minutes on treadmill I walk a lot more I notice the little things that are different for me that I do better

The best thing to do is follow the rules and take measurements. When I first started I would take my measurements every 2 weeks. It helped me because I had a hard time seeing it. I also took progress pictures every 2 weeks in the same bra and panties. My daughter would sit on the bathtub and I would stand in the same spot in front of my closet door. When I put the pics in an album on my phone and flipped through it help me really "see" the difference.

Just follow the plan on protein and water and you'll do great! And you're already working out, which is so good for you. I still have problems with some foods. Some things just don't sit right after I eat them.

Also, you've just gone through a pretty significant surgery. Your body is trying to figure out what the heck happened. And it's also thrown your hormones off. Things will keep moving and getting better!

    Hi.
It's a lot to get your head around in the first few weeks.
Stick to your surgeon's/Nutritionist's plan and all will be good.
Weigh and/or measure your food, keep a food journal or use an online app to track your intake, focus on protein and hydration and it will all happen.
I didn't really see a difference in myself for a few months, Even now (just over a year out) I do a double take when I see myself in a mirror or shop window reflection.
With regard to difficulty eating certain foods - I find red meat a struggle so mainly eat chicken, fish/prawns, eggs, cottage cheese. When I do eat beef or lamb it is a much smaller quantity and I usually need a sauce or gravy to help it along. I also don't tolerate fresh salmon any more (tinned is ok) which is a shame as it was my favourite. However that's a small price to pay for being half the size I was and feeling so much better about myself - not to mention healthier :-)
