Thanks Glenn. I think the reason I have stuck around is that I love supporting people through their process. I know how important the veterans on here were for me along my journey. Always knew just what to say. I don't think people who haven't had the surgery really get it.

Thanks Rex. You would think losing 99 lbs would make you look older with loose skin but I think I look 10 years younger since being sleeved. It is all about exercising, hydration, and protein!! Also, use lotion along the way. It really helps with skin elasticity.

I loved to exercise before but I really, really love it now. It is just part of who I am. And without the extra fat you can really see the muscles! Definition baby!! You are totally going to get there. It does take time but it is worth every bit of effort we put into it.

I know personally I could not. I was a very active fat person. I could usually out exercise most of my skinny friends. I was an active member of a boot camp group, competed in obstacle races such as the Tough Mudder and Spartan run, would run almost daily anywhere from 3-8 miles. I just had a big appetite. I could lose some weight and get down to about 160 (32.3 BMI for my height) but it would always creep back up the minute I exercised a bit less or couldn't be super strict with my diet.
Just thought I would share a picture from after my workout this morning. This is why I did it. To be fit, happy, and healthy. I have not looked this fabulous since before having kids. I had my first at 24. I am now 45. And I am not ashamed to say that I look amazing. I love what I see and how I feel.

I will be 2 years post op on November 3rd. I have successfully kept off 99 lbs. I workout almost every day. I only take a break on occasion. I strength train, run, and walk. I make it a point to take the stairs and park farther away unless I am in a hurry. I have learned that I am a priority. This means I absolutely HAVE to make time to exercise and cook healthy meals. I now have an Instant Pot to help making healthy meals easier. Seriously, that thing has really simplified my life. Healthy meals are a breeze.

Bottom line...why get the sleeve?? To be a happier, healthier version of you. I would go back and do it all over again in a heartbeat. No regrets other than I would have done this YEARS ago. The sleeve helped me love myself again and I will never go back to hating myself.

TOTALLY AWESOME! Christie you have totally rocked your sleeve! AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! You would never know that you used to be festively plump...... (refuse to use the word fat).....

That is an amazing picture. You must look at an old picture and then that one and just smile and smile. I know I do that with my pictures and I'm still blown away when I see the difference.

    Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!
    LOVING MY NEW LIFE!!!!
