Permanent Reminder

I am so thrilled with the progress that I have made since my surgery (just over a year ago) that I decided that I wanted a permanent reminder of the date that my life changed for the better.
I have had the date of my surgery (4 September 2017 - we write ours a different way to those in the US) tattooed on my foot. The arrow signifies strength and moving forward and I had it put on my foot as I am striding forward with my new life.
I love it. Thought I would share it with my VSG family :-)

I love that Lisa. I am a tatted girl as well. I am going to be getting a big back tattoo to celebrate the new me. Should be getting it in the next month. Will post pics when I get it.

Christie I would love to see your new artwork when you have it.
I only have one other small tattoo - that I have had for about 25 years! I got it just before I turned 30 and thought life as I knew it was going to end ;-)
I had this one done as I just felt the need to have a reminder for myself of the great new chance at life I was given.
My partner has a fabulous tattoo/s on his chest, arm and side. It is Polynesian influenced and looks wonderful. He waited until he was 56 to decide that was what he wanted. :-) It took about 12 hours in total to complete.

I've been trying to decide on my next tattoo...and sadly, I wanted "older and wiser" but I'm not there yet, lol!

Great idea. I have one large tattoo on the left side of my chest. I have been thinking about getting another. After seeing what you’ve had done I may wait to get another until I have completed my journey.
