I had a bad ankle sprain a few months ago. One of the reasons was the excess kilograms while I was working out. I tried to follow my doctor's advice and shape up a bit before I went into surgery in order to minimize the risk of complications during the operation. It started well, but I ddidn't opt for a personal trainer to keep track of the limits that I should respect and the result was a painful sprain. I have to wear a
knee brace since then which is not ideal, but I can at least continue walking on the treadmill.
