Hi. Haven't been here in a while. I just had my one year follow up with my surgeon on September 12th. I can't believe that an entire year has gone by since my surgery. I was 197 pound on the day of my follow up. Since then I have lost a bit more weight and am fluctuating between 191 and 194. I am so happy to be in onederland. I have gone from a size 26/28 to a 12/14 in pants. In shirts I generally wear a large sometimes a medium depending on style and brand. I bought a pair of calf length boots that zip up on the side and they fit perfectly. I never would have been able to do that at my high weight since they would never have zipped up around my calves. I am so happy with my progress and very glad I had the surgery. It is by far one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I'd like to lose a bit more weight but it's not a life or death matter. My blood glucose is good, my blood pressure is excellent it was 100/60 yesterday when I went to my primary doctor. He said he no longer considers me to have hypertension. I feel great and can move so much more easily even after my knee surgery in May. My bariatric surgeon said my knee surgery would have been much more difficult if I had been carrying around an extra 112 pounds. I'm very happy. I hope everyone else is doing well. I hope my success can be an inspiration for those who haven't had surgery yet. I'd you're on the fence about having the surgery, I won't tell you you have to have it done but I would encourage you to consider it very strongly. It is a life changing thing and definitely changed for the better ( at least for me it has)
