I can't wait to start a new weight loss journey! I'm really nervous about it but I hope all goes well I am worried about if the surgery will work I'm am 306 .
If you follow the rules, it will work. I was nervous about surgery but the thing that I was most worried about is that it would not work for me. I am short (4'11") and lost 99 lbs. It will work. Focus should be protein and fluids. Then veggies. And once you are at or near goal you can have healthy carbs. You need to be aware of slider foods and how they are easier to eat and those can sabotage you. You can do this and we are all here to help you on your journey.
I echo what the others have said. If you follow the program, it will work.
Like you, I was worried it wouldn’t work for me. I started this journey at 345 lbs. I’m now down to 311. I never thought I would get here, but I have.
And I thought I was alone in this. But I have found the wonderful people on this forum who are a wealth of knowledge and successes.
You can do this.

Thanks guys for reassuring me I'm so excited to start ... my journey I lost about 30lbs on my own but it is hard to keep it off .... I live down south and we live to eat I don't want that anymore I'm really ready to change .. i am so glad I found this forum it has really lifted my spirit ...
The surgery works! Of course you have follow everything your surgeon/nutritionist tells you to do, and if you do, you will lose your weight. It's a miracle in my book. Being a little nervous is common, but look at the big picture and get excited! It is really so much fun to watch the weight fall off.
The surgery is a great tool. (I get what that means now!) It's up to you to follow the program. Come here for advice and support. Join some facebook groups. Go to in-person support groups.
Lots of great info here. Lots of very successful people. I honestly believe the folks that are the most successful are also very active in some kind of support group/forum/program.
You can do this!
