10 Days!!

Final count down!! Two hands!! My wound clinic appointment went well. Both were smaller. Not a lot smaller, but I'll take smaller. I think after next week's appointment to see if I can schedule it every two weeks and try that for a month or two. And hopefully get these healed before it gets too cold. I'm hoping my appointment with my surgeon and primary go just as well! Cross your fingers and send good vibes my way around 1:15 CST tomorrow please.

Power is out at the hospital - my appointment May or may not happen!!��

The appointment happened. They came out and said Dr. Thaemert was going to see patients power or no power. The nurse was literally wearing a head light. I would have lit a chair on fire for light if it meant having my appointment! The power came back on just before I had to go back.

Other than being a challenge my doc and I are ready to go. Talked about transfers and if that would hurt anything - he said we can do a board or a ceiling lift, whichever is best for me at the time. He's also going to keep me on blood thinners a little longer since I can't get up and move. A couple of weeks at most. Shots. Ack! He will give me liquid potassium since it doesn't come in a small pill and I run low. Not something I can stop. The rest are small so I can still take those, all my vitamins and supplements need to stop until down the road. I have soooo many so hopefully I can swallow them in a few months.

Good appointment and glad I didn't have to reschedule with surgery next week!

Nine days!! Just 9 days and it is finally here. I am sooooooo excited for you. Glad your wounds got a little smaller. Sending lots of positive vibes and virtual hugs.

Four days to go!! I don't think I will stop worrying it is going to happen until the surgery is over. I am not worried about the surgery in the least. Pain, just a tad. I just worry all my other health issues will put a stop to it and then I'll be devastated. :-(

I do believe I have all my preop tests back and all my labwork was NORMAL. When they did a full panel when I stopped IVs everything was wonky.Even got an email from my Lupus doc's nurse saying doc wants them to be restested in a couple of weeks and thinks the antibiotics I was on were causing this.

The only thing that was off was my urine. They same bug that was in my foot is now in my bladder. Wonderful. I don't have any symptoms of a UTI and usually when I get one I get fevers and chills so for me to have this and not be feverish is a little odd. Trying not to worry, but it is hard not too.

Hopefully no news is good news. Prayers and well wishes needed that this surgery happens Thursday! I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers you all have give me. <3

ID released me and no longer need to see me and asked if I could wait for two weeks for my feet and he said YES! Woot! No calls on the UTI bug and nurse said she called in another script for the scopolamine patch since HyVee didn't have it when I went this weekend. 3 days! Well, technically less than that. Eeek!
