What can I tell you?
I have never felt so happy with life!
Why? because it's my time! I am a different girl.
I now eat meals regularly instead of skipping breakfast and lunch because I was too busy.
I am organized and feel well because I eat healthily.
I have more time for me and the things that make me happy which is physical exercise and my singing and my dogs and now have the energy for socialising.
I think I avoided doing any of the above through lack of self-esteem as well as being tired all the time I always blamed it on running our own business.
I make time now!
I can't do everything, but I delegate things and prioritize things in a very different way.
I no longer feel resentful or bitter about putting myself last, because that's a thing of the past.
It began pre-surgery I became organized around preparing the food for the freezer in advance so when I came out of the hospital it was all ready.
I researched and made time for that so I felt educated in my journey, my surgeon remarked to me in person how he had never had someone ask the questions and show such an interest in the subject in the way that I had approached it.
I was lucky I had a week with my team in the hospital and gained all the help and support I could have dreamed of, I live in a foreign country and there was a language barrier at times that we overcame easily with Google translate.
I am traveling to visit the team on Sunday and having a few days in a city that I love very much, seeing my Surgeon and dietician who whatapp me on a regular basis as we have formed a wonderful connection.
I had my blood test results back and checked they are ALL normal and I am healthy.
I am very fortunate that another 2 KG (about 4.5 Lbs) and I will be normal BMI.
So I can only say how it becomes a very good habit.
At 4 months I started losing my hair every time I touched it, I added 1 Biotin tablet a day and use a shampoo that was recommended for hair loss by my hairdresser.
I had wigs ready as I also had my parathyroids removed in January which was only discovered as I was booked for sleeve surgery in January (i had my sleeve done in March 2018) So I would have not known about the thyroid problem if it was not for the choice to have the sleeve.
So I am so blessed to have got that sorted
I had a stall for a month at 5 months I wondered if I was going to lose any more weight, but it started up again I added a little snack of sunflower seeds to my day or 4 almonds and it started moving again.
Due to the weather being rain and very hot I could not exercise for 20 days heavy storms and the heat causing no outdoor activities made me wonder if I would gain, But I actually lost weight.
I like how people say nice things about my health.
The strange thing is All the Men I know have said the same thing "have you had a facelift?"
I have known these guys for years!
I am getting used to them saying that now, but I don't know how to answer I am so puzzled by this statement.
Cant, they see I have lost weight not had a facelift LOL?
The females just say "You look fantastic"
Which is so good to hear! as I feel Fantastic and healthy.
I expected to age with weight loss You know look a bit gaunt or saggy and wrinkly but seems that it is not how it is.
So there are surprises nice ones!
Hope it helps anyone who wonders what 6 months might be like.
I can only praise my sleeve as it has given me a new life!
I enjoy all the food as I cook it in a delicious way using spices and herbs.
Rice made with berries and lavender and cinnamon and lime only a dessert spoon! Moroccan Tanginne Lamb. I freeze most of it so I have meals ready all the time as I make enough for 2 normal portions that means I have 4 for the freezer for me for another time.
Stirfry with steak and veg in a sizzling sauce .... Wonderful.
I don't eat junk food I never liked it My problem was eating way too big a portion late in the day.
Or following a diet of food that was not tasty or in some cases just did not satisfy my appetite so I was never sated then I would break the diet.
I am sure you know how it goes.
Thanks for All the support.
Its inspiring to be amongst such wonderful people.
