Default Help! I have hit my first plateau and its only been 2 weeks

I guys I am looking for some feedback or advice. I am 2 weeks post op today, and I was steadily losing an average of 2 lbs a day and I am 11 pounds down, for the last 4 days i have lost nothing, I have even started taking walks outside for 30 minutes. I am getting about 40 oz. of water daily, I have no trouble getting my protein in. Has anyone else had this happen???

I'd recommend working hard to increase that water intake to at least 60 oz.

But 11 pounds in two weeks is nothing to sneeze at. Just keep doing what you're doing (but get more water in) and you'll get past this plateau in no time.

You've hit the 3-week stall early. Don't worry. You'll start losing again. Your body is trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Just keep doing what your doing.

As above - the dreaded 3 week stall. Frustrating but totally normal. Keep doing what you are doing and it will all be ok. :-)

Someone just asked this same question on the Ask Dr. A Show (episode 150) about a week ago and his answer was, "Come on people, are you kidding me?!?"

English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Thanks, that’s good to know, I was freaking out and thinking I was doing something wrong. And as for you SRAEBER AND DURCH SLEEVE, that was just rude, I was looking for feedback from those who have been there and may have experienced the same thing, I don’t need your sarcasm.

I just got back from the doctor and everything is as you guys stated, I need to incorporate more calories and continue doing what I'm doing. Thanks again for the words of wisdom and sorry for freaking out

Didn't mean to be rude, it's just that if you have been on this site at all or done any research, you will know that this stall happens to almost all of us. Even Dr. Alamaza joked about the question, I was quoting him.

OK, let's skip the fun and humor. Yes, it is perfectly normal to have a stall 2 weeks post op. You will be fine. If it stresses you out, hide your scale. If you are following what your nutritionist/surgeon told you do you will be great. Best of luck you you!

I would say "lighten up," but then you'd be angry with me too. Make the journey fun! Nothing is more fun than becoming a healthy, regular-sized person.

And I had fun, because of what Sraebaer said, had nothing to do with you.
I am sorry that you felt offended.
Glad you feel better about it now!

I want to say first of all …. breathe. I was also plateaued around week 2. I was devastated even though I had read about that first dreaded stall. I just knew I was going to be total sleeve failure. I was in full on panic mode. But guess what? There was nothing to do but keep calm and keep following the plan my surgeon/nutritionist laid out for me. Follow the rules and you will be fine.

Don't worry about "overreacting." You've entered a whole new world, and it's all strange. Happily, many others here have been here for some time.

    Best wishes.
