    Default Crazy nervous, but ready

It's been a very long road for me. I've lost and regained between 20 and 85lbs probably every other year my entire adult life, and I'm almost 45 now. Enough is enough. I'm super nervous because they are also taking out my gallbladder the same day. I've never had an attack, but apparently I have "a couple of small stones and some sludge"...YUCK! Anyway, I'm at my life time highest weight and ready to try a new approach. Thx for reading.

Try not to be nervous, the operation will only change your life for the better, and if you have some Gaul stones then getting rid of the Gaul baldder at the same time is a no brainier really as the pain from that can be unbearable.

I’m 72 weeks post op and a completely different chap, you will be fine.

You’ll do great! Try not to be nervous. It’s much easier that you think it will be. Most people are like me, had not problem at all. But I would advise you make sure the hospital has a protein shake that you like. Mine did not and I couldn’t drink the one that they had. Be nice to yourself. If you can take it easy for at least 10 days your body will appreciate it.
Good luck and God bless you! Again, you’ll do GREAT!!!

Congratulations on deciding to look after your health.

You will see how wonderful this tool is and the surgery is, of course, nerve-racking.

    But... Then Wow!

    A whole new life!

    You will be so Happy!

We all feel oh My this is life changing too am I really going to cope You will!
And it gets so easy after the first 6 weeks(the time you concentrate on healing after the surgery)
Then you use your tool(sleeve) to help you become in control of a whole new you!
    All the best to you.

Your story sounds like most of us on here. We have all been on that weight loss, emotional roller coaster. Things will be so different with the sleeve. I am sooooo glad I did this. Only regret waiting so long to take the plunge. My 16 year old told me today as I pulled out my reminder fat jeans and laughed at how big they were, " I can't remember you fat anymore. It is like you have always been thin." And while I love that fat me is erased from her memory, I can never forget fat me. Remembering fat me keeps me focused on healthy me at all times!
