    Hi
I don't actually use protein drinks.
I prefer the powder and then I add it to my Low cal 40 cal Hot chocolate drink. Or to my spinach, avocado and Kiwi smoothie.

It blends really nicely. I use Protifar Protein powder.

Not sure if its available where you live .
But if it is.... well it works a treat.

Good Luck I am sure there will be tons of suggestions from others as well.

Go to GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe and but ONE of whatever looks good to you. Try them, see what you like. Don't buy anything in bulk until you're sure it's something you like.

I liked the orange flavored Isoprue diluted with a lot of ice. But I may be weird, because most people don't like Isopure. So see what you enjoy!

My advice, try many different kinds. It is going to be a huge part of your diet so having a few different ones makes it a little easier. If you keep drinking the same ones you get awful sick of them fast. I buy Premier Protein shakes (Costco and Sam's club usually have good deals on them) I also buy the big jugs of protein powder where I can mix my own with water. Mixing and matching seems to work good for me. Hope this helps. Good luck!!

I liked several brands of protein drinks before surgery, but since my surgery I HATE all the premade drinks. The sweet taste just is no longer tolerable to me. We are not supposed to drink carbonated drinks but for the heck of it I took a single sip of diet coke that I have been drinking for 20 years as a test and hated the taste of that as well. That's good since I can't have it anyway.

All that to lead up to what else can one drink to get both liquid and protein.
First I would find/get a protein powder that is truly flavorless and can be mixed with anything without changing the taste. Most that claim to be flavorless aren't and usually still have a vanilla taste to them, but Someone recommend GENEPRO to me and it is truly flavorless. Threw away several other products. I can mix it with plain water and I can't taste it. So I add it for protein to anything that I want. Diet OceanSpray drinks, decaf coffee/tea, milk, soups or pureed items or anything else depending where you are on your diet progression. While it may seem expensive it's not so bad once you compare on a per serving size. It comes in smaller packages but serving size is also much smaller.

As to regular protein drink mix I am partial to the ON Perfomance Gold Standard Whey and 100% Whey protein products from Costco and numerous other locations. Costco only carries the chocolate and vanilla, but that works fine for me.

I can't take flavorless stuff. It just doesn't feel right since I expect at least some flavor to be there. Haven't tried any of the ones you guys are recommending so I'll give them a shot and hopefully find something that suits me. Cheers.

the syntrax nectar brand in the ice tea is really good, you can even buy sample packs in a lot of different flavors.
