12 days out

Hey guys and gals!! SO I am 12 days out and on schedule and doing fine. I no longer have stitches and drainage is completely gone. The healing process has finally began. I am currently eating cream broccoli and tomato and chicken broth soups. YUM at least it is some type of food I can eat. LOL. I can truly say the liquid dieting and the gas part right after surgery was the hardest part. I am literally smooth sailing from there. I have started the protein shakes as well as the powder and I do prefer the powder. Guys it is essential to take your vitamins because they work I have been taking multivitamins for a while and I see changes in my skin and hair and nails and just well being. I feel pretty good to say I had an important surgery almost 2 weeks ago. Got to say, I also lost 10 lbs already. HW: 247 SW: 230 CW:220 GW: 164

That positive attitude will take you all the way to being a normal sized, healthy person. In fact I think my positive attitude, my excitement and fun every bit of the way (even now after almost 5 years), was my number one reason for success.

A positive attitude is the most important part of this journey, keep that up and you will sail right along!! I agree with you 100% on the liquid diet. That was the hardest part for me in this whole process. I still think day one of my 12 day liquid diet prior to surgery was the worst, the rest was easy and I am only 3 pounds away from losing 100 lbs, it will be 5 months post op on the 20th.

So Happy for you and totally agree with you about Biotin I too see a change now as a result of adding this in the last month.
I also take a multivitamin every day, Omega 3, Nexium as I have always had acid reflux. Peppermint oil for helping constipation.
Also, I use dried prunes in boiling water and let cool and drink.

A regular protein powder in hot chocolate and a green smoothie with spinach, kiwi, avocado, and kefir to dilute.

I love to hear when people are doing great with no issues. Those first weeks can feel kind of crummy. I only felt bad week one. Hope you are still doing well.
