    Default 3 Days Out

I'm feeling pretty good and having no problems getting my fluids in. I'm having to make myself slow down. I'm not hungry but would love to eat. Lol. I think this might be why people question the surgery after having it. Because you don't feel different, it doesn't feel like a change has occurred. Unless you're one of the unfortunate ones that are super sick afterwards.

I'm very glad to not be hungry but I already miss chewing my food. I have a follow-up appt in two weeks and at that time I will be progressed to the mushy food diet.

I'm getting around very well and even sitting in the floor changing and playing with my almost two year old toddler. I'm just a little sore but haven't had to take any pain med since last night. I do need to work on getting my vitamins in.

So very happy to be going through this process!

That is so soooo awesome! Congratulations on the success of your procedure. Like you I didn’t take any pain medicines after being discharged.

Awesome! I also didnt feel different. I wondered if the sleeve worked but so far it sure seems like it is. I definitely see it's still up to me to make the right food choices. But this is such a drastic surgery and a huge opportunity so I'm not going to waste it.

So glad things went well. Do take your vitamins! It matters in your ability to heal, and in my case, to grow hair, lol! I found I did best with gummies, which I hadn't thought of till the damage was done....

Awesome!!! I too will not take the pain meds because they trip me out. And I've taken VICODIN before...but I don't need them, I'm only a little sore. What I hate is the gas...

I always love to hear when people are having a great recovery. Mine was relatively uneventful as well. My whole journey was. Only had pain and dry heaving immediately after surgery. I was thinking what the hell did I do? Then the pain meds kicked in and fell back asleep. I woke up and it was not too bad. The first week I slept a lot off and on and was not hungry at all. Had some reflux for a month or tow and that was about it. Biggest issue for me was constipation.

So pleased all is going to plan for you. Stick to the programme, rest when you can and keep on trying to get the water and vitamins in. I had to change the vitamins I had initially as I just couldn't tolerate them (and still can't take any on an empty stomach). Maybe a different kind might help? As Annie said it's really important to get your vitamins in when you can. All the best for your continued success.
