Please Advise: Has Anyone Had This Problem?

Hi,
I’m 15 weeks post off tomorrow. I’m doing great. I’ve almost lost 50 pounds and couldn’t be happier. But . . . I have terrible stomach pain anytime I have any pressure at all on my stomach. Any pressure at all! Even the underware I wore 50 pounds ago and are about to fall off hurt my stomach. When driving, I have to hold the seatbelt off my stomach at all times. Even really loose waistbands have to be pulled down below my stomach to make it bearable.
I complained to the doctor and nutritionist at my one month appointment. They said they had never heard of such a thing and just blew it off. I go back for my 3 month visit this week and will ask again. I’m beginning to think that something is wrong with my pouch.
Other than not being able to eat much at all, I’m fine.
Have any of you had any trouble with pain when pressure is on your stomach? Actually waistline.

OMG!! I have not heard of that (not to say it hasn't happened to someone) but it does NOT sound good to me. If your surgeon blows you off I would follow up with my PCP/GP. You should not still be tender this far out. In the beginning I can see but not now. Demand that they take your concerns seriously. You are your best advocate.

I thought I had posted to this last night, sorry!
I would definitely have that checked out by your doctor. I don't think it is normal to have that much pain that long after the procedure. There definitely seems to be something amiss. It could be that maybe the scar tissue on your stapleline could be causing it, but always better to be safe. With that much pain, I'd be worried more about a gastric leak or something (not to send off bells and alarms!). Keep us posted, thinking of you!

My surgeon told me at the time of my surgery that any weird pain should be addressed asap. He told me that my stomach was "healed" at one month.

Something may be not directly related to your pain but it made me think about my history.
I had several c sections and had really sharp pain for several weeks each time after one. But not always! I discovered years later that the culprit was those many many adhesion's I have because of the endometriosis. During my my last c section the obgyn took his time to "cut everything glued to the previous scar tissue" so the recovery was much better. I discovered years later that the reason I had so much adhesion's was the endometriosis...

I guess you could also ask about the internal stitches...good luck!

Go to the doc. If you also develop a fever and have that sort of pain go to the hospital and have them look for sepsis and leaks.
