    Default Smoky Seattle

    Attachment 27882

OK, back in my happy place, the mountains. This hike was near Seattle with lots of smoke from the wildfires in Canada. Off to the Olympic Peninsula today for a week of mountain climbing. Maybe the smoke won't follow us.

Hi Sraebaer, will you be heading south this trip? Hope you have a good time in the Olympic P. That area is on my list of places I want to explore. 3FD2B044-B34C-4E67-B09B-F8F8387A49E6.jpegThe smoke as been awful in my area too. Hiked up to cooper Spur Wednesday and we climbed above the smoke it was so nice to get out of the smoke but a bummer you couldn’t see the beautiful scenery that’s stuck in the smoke.

My son is Monroe (outside Seattle) with his family; my aunties are in Stanwood, Kirkland, Mercer Island and Camino Island. Now I am homesick.

We went for a hike at the state park near us with the pups....it was the first day you could tolerate being outside (that is, not 90 degrees with 72 dewpoint). I am ready for fall!

Prayers, Miss Sharon! Peace to your spirit! <3

Got to Port Townsend yesterday, rented a house for a week. I'm sitting here typing looking over the water, waiting for everyone to wake up to HIKE!! It does seem less smoky here.

    That looks so good!
    You deserve that.
It will do you a lot of good.
    I am happy for you!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Not south this time, a week in the Olympic Peninsula and then back to Seattle where we have family. Today was our first perfect day, warm, sunny, no smoke, can see forever! We've had some great hikes already.
