Woooohooo! Good luck!!!! I’m just about 24 days to surgery at the same place. A little nervous but excited.

Hello! I had surgery with Dr. Almanza on 6/18. All went well and I am home and down 33 pounds so far.

You probably feel like crap right now, but just FYI, they will give you some great meds at night to help you sleep. My roommate and I looked forward to it every night!

Congratulations Kay,Today and tomorrow are the hardest. It will get better! Your in great hands both at the hospital and at the hotel. I hope your surgery went well. Tomorrow when you return to the hotel they will give you an IV that has great meds that will help. One of the best tools that you have available is your legs : ) It’s important to walk frequently. It will help you feel better the fastest. When I was in the hospital I took 1-2 laps every hour when I was awake or every time I used the bathroom. The day I got discharge I walked frequently and on day 2 I walked all around the area and even went shopping. If you have any questions I’m happy to anwser. you are going to be fine. Walk walk walk it will relieve gas! I promise you! The first two days are hectic but after that it gets better just utilize your legs and you will be fine!
