    Default Stall at 5 months

    Hi Everyone,

I would just like a little advice.

I am feeling nervous as I have not lost any more weight really in about 19 days.
I can really feel my restriction when eating and I write everything down.

I have increased my exercise I alternate it by using weights, pilates, riding my bike and I am swimming every day as its hot! so making that my treat!

I am drinking enough, as its hot, I am staying hydrated on the inside and using lovely creams and oils to hydrate my skin.

But although I am happy with it all I am wondering if this it!
have I reached my bodies goal weight?

    I am 54 years old and 5'3". (67 KG)

I know we reach a stall once in a while.
But not had one that lasted as long as this.

I really vary my diet so it's not repetitive and protein is my first priority and then vegetables or salad if there is room for some carbs.
I avoid bread and only have some occasionally I find it uncomfortable.

I have looked at everything and hope that I can achieve more weight loss as I really want to get rid of the tummy and my fat calves.
I think its realistic to want to lose say another 14 pounds.

Any ideas on what I might be able to expect.
My anaesthetist was the only one who said I think you will probably end up at 60 KG (132 lbs)

I would love that, but if I need to accept this is it then I need to get my head into acceptance.

    Thanks, everyone.

HI Carla, Firstly, well done on your weight loss. I am only 4 months so am not sure what happens at 5 month lol. However i have stalled a few times for a week or so and then it starts again. I think stalls are normal and also by increasing your exercise, maybe you are losing inches. Remember muscle weighs more than fat. The other thing I have found, is now that I am exercising allot more and do weight training, i find i have to eat more often. I think perhaps if you increase your calories a bit you might get started again. I now have a snack of sunflower seeds. I find it has also helped my tummy work, as its fibre and a good source of protein and a great snack. Good luck!

    Hi Ellie,

Thank you so much for that.
Well, you are also really going forward in a wonderful positive way.
I will get some sunflower seeds I will try a snack as maybe that's what I might need you know alittle bit of extra protein instead of just at meal times.
You know its actually 5 months when it started I am closer to being 6 months now but I can drive myself nuts working out calendar month or weeks wise.

Thanks for the tip and yes maybe muscle weighing heavier than fat crossed my mind too.
Keep on going you are doing brilliantly.

You may need to increase your food intake. I know that was usually the case for me. As counterintuitive as it seems, we can eat too little. Also, when you get farther along, you will notice your weight loss slows to a crawl at a pound or two every 7-14 days. Not uncommon.

    Thanks Christie,

I have really tried this week to do that, let see what happens so far nothing and I am drinking more water and increasing more laps in my swimming and on my bike training.
Still nothing has shifted since August 1st.

At least I know I am trying everything I can think of.

I will try to add maybe a little extra snack of nuts into my afternoon.

    Thanks again.
