4 Months Out

I saw the surgeon in Missoula yesterday. The nurse, Janet, and Dr. Swannack were quite blown away with the numbers. I've lost about 62 lbs and my BMI has gone from 38 down to 28. When the nurse entered my weight into the system it brought up a window asking if there was a mistake because it was over the high end percentage expected for an entry. The doctor said I've lost about 70% of my excess weight in four months and was very pleased. We agreed I'm defying the average statistics. He said there's not much he can tell me because I'm doing really well, doing it right and using my tool (surgery) to the best advantage. I'll get blood drawn before the next appointment in October. The nurse said my hair thinning is right on schedule and a direct result of the procedure shocking the system. It will come back.

I'm so so pleased. I have no regrets. I know I made the right choice, not only having it done but having this particular procedure. My quality of life has improved 10 fold.

Wow that is amazing. As long as you are doing well then he shouldn't have a problem. I don't see my doctor to almost a month after my surgery. I had my gastric sleeve surgery Aug. 3rd. I am finding it difficult to drink 64 oz of anything let alone two protein shakes. I am full so easily. I definitely need to see my doctor. Congrats again on your weight loss.
