Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes! I am a super newb with the whole bariatric surgery concept, I am going to a seminar at the local Novant health center at the end of this month, which is apparently a pre-requisite to getting a surgical consult for my insurance and the hospital.

Welcom im also a newbie to the group also,im in the process now of seeing the important doctors I should be done by the end of the year going on vacation which I cant get out of in feb.so I was told to get the surgery when I get back cause I need liquids and protein drinks and I cant carry that stuff with me so I hope I can get it in march when I return back home im crossing my fingers.im here for you also.

It is definitely an amazing tool for weight loss. I am so thankful I did it. I look and feel great and you can barely even see my scars. I actually have to look to see them and I know where they are.

Awesome. If you decide this is right for YOU, then best of luck! It's definitely a decision you need to make for your health and well-being. It's not necessarily an easy decision to make, but that said, the regret most folks have is not having the surgery sooner.

i'm just over a month out. I'm very happy I had this done.
