Jesse. Be gentle to yourself! The first 3 days absolutely sucked, and my pre op was 3 shakes 2 soups and one bar for 10 days, then just shakes and soups. They were Optifast, so 800 cal total per day. The soups helped! I also ordered "bone broth" on Amazon - it is high in protein. I hated the lemon grass chicken broth, but the other ones were tasty.
After day 3 it was easier, but that's because the sugar war was over in my head. And I agree - the sweet gets yucky. Best to you!
