    Default 5 Months Post Op

Wow, the time is moving rather quickly. Today is my 5 months post op with 65 lbs gone! I sit back and think why did I wait sooooo long to get up the courage to make the right decision for my life? Either way I did it, it’s been the best decision I’ve made in a long time. There aren’t any regrets and my relationship with food has totally change. I make sure to get my protein in, my water, and my exercise in daily! Some days or better than others but I always start fresh the next day. I’ve gone days without eating since I’m never hungry nor thirsty. My alarm system still sends off a signal when full. I generally stop before the signal rings. Shortly afterward, the infamous hiccups occur.

I always cleaned out my closet over the weekend. Tired on some of my oldies but goodies and they no longer fit. Duh, I just wanted to see the difference. What a different those 65 lbs lost made!!!

I was with my sister to pick up food for her children before we went out shopping, we stopped a Checkers. I was assuming the food (fries) would smell delicious because I was a lover of all things potatoes. However, once the food was handed to her through the window on our journey we went. Shortly, I notice I was getting nausea. The smell of the food was making me really nausea.

I do love Dr. Marvin. He's stern and to the point, but that's what I wanted in a surgeon. And Denise is the best! I love all of his staff to be honest.

Aren't the positive changes so amazing? I used to be totally addicted to diet dr pepper. I tried some about 3 or 4 months post op and it was so freaking nasty. I cannot believe that I ever drank that crap. Eventually you will eat some of the foods you used to like. Just in moderation....very small quantities. I do. I still focus first on proteins and veggies but I do allow myself treats occasionally in moderation. I exercise every day. I take the stairs versus escalators/elevators, I park farther away, I drink lots of water. Life is so much better now.

Yes, the positive change is truly amazing. Wow, that is awesome. Side note, I’ve always thought Dr. Pepper was nasty! Lol Glad you agree with me now. Christie, you’re still rocking out! Keep it up!!
